Extending Fuzzy Logics to Support Decisions
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper a concept of evaluation schema for uncertain statements is proposed. The aim is to represent and process knowledge and to support decision making under uncertainty, involving the information with unmeasurable uncertainty in the reasoning process. This ’uncertainty logic’ is based on fuzzy logics and Łukasiewicz three-valued logic, but it’s underlied by a richer structure that makes more subtle analysis of statements possible. The logic is a kind of L-fuzzy logic formally. However, its ontological motivations are different.

Extending Fuzzy Description Logics for the Semantic Web
Fuzzy Description Logics (Fuzzy DLs) and fuzzy OWL have been proposed as languages able to represent and reason about imprecise and vague knowledge. Such extensions have gained considerable attention the last couple of years since on the one hand they are pivotal for applications that are inherently imprecise, like multimedia analysis and retrieval, geospatial applications and more, while on th...
متن کاملEQ-logics with delta connective
In this paper we continue development of formal theory of a special class offuzzy logics, called EQ-logics. Unlike fuzzy logics being extensions of theMTL-logic in which the basic connective is implication, the basic connective inEQ-logics is equivalence. Therefore, a new algebra of truth values calledEQ-algebra was developed. This is a lower semilattice with top element endowed with two binary...
متن کاملPossibilistic Planning Using Description Logics: A First Step
This paper is a first step in the direction of extending possibilistic planning to take advantage of the expressive power and reasoning capabilities of fuzzy description logics. Fuzzy description logics are used to describe knowledge about the world and about actions. Fundamental definitions are given and the possibilistic planning problem is recast in this new setting.
متن کاملReasoning for Fuzzy Description Logic with Comparison Expressions
The fuzzy extensions of description logics support representation and reasoning for fuzzy knowledge. But the current fuzzy description logics do not support the expression of comparisons between fuzzy membership degrees. The paper proposes ALCfc, a fuzzy extension of description logic ALC with comparison expressions. ALCfc defines comparison cut concepts to express complex comparisons, and inte...
متن کاملTruth Values and Connectives in Some Non-Classical Logics
The question as to whether the propositional logic of Heyting, which was a formalization of Brouwer's intuitionistic logic, is finitely many valued or not, was open for a while (the question was asked by Hahn). Kurt Gödel (1932) introduced an infinite decreasing chain of intermediate logics, which are known nowadays as Gödel logics, for showing that the intuitionistic logic is not finitely (man...
